Coming as a free mover student (without an exchange programme)

You are an international student and you want to register to obtain a degree from the University of Lille. You are registered for the first time in a higher education institution in France.

The application procedure to follow depends on several factors:

  • Your nationality,
  • The country where you obtained your end of secondary school diploma,
  • Your country of residence,
  • The level of the degree programme you wish to apply (have a look at the degree programmes of the University of Lille)

Important: Except in some cases, you must have a French certification (DELF, TCF...)

  • Candidates of foreign nationality (outside the European Union) enrolling for the first time in French higher education

Pre-Admission Application (DAP)

UNIVERSITY YEAR 2019-2020- Registration in first year of bachelor degree


This mandatory procedure concerns foreign students outside the European Union, the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation seeking an initial registration in the first year of the bachelor degree or a first year common to health studies (PACES).

It is based on 2 conditions:

  • Justify access to higher education in the country of origin for the desired degree programme
  • Justify a level of understanding of the French language adapted to the desired degree programme: this level is verified by a language test, the TCF-DAP

Application methods:

    Students living in France (habitual residence) download a GREEN FILE on the MESRI website: http://www.enseignementsup-recherche.gouv.fr/cid24146/-dossier-vert-demande-d-admission-prealable-en -first-year-of-license.html and send it by post to the study office concerned or the Office of international students (BAEI) for the degree programmes of Pont de Bois Campus.

You must get the application file between the 3rd December 2018 to the 1st February 2019

    Students living abroad constitute a WHITE FILE, either at the cultural department of the French Embassy of the country of residence, or for countries with "studies in France" procedure on the Campus France website, from a dedicated area to each country http://www.campusfrance.org.

You must submit your application via the "Études en France" platform

Online file must be created before March 20, 2019

You can make the online applications on the platform "e-candidat" from mid-February.  Schedules can be variable depending on the degree programme you wish to follow at the University of Lille.
