Today, the university’s research stems from its research units, and is built in partnership with and for society: schools, associations, local authorities, cultural organisations, citizens, etc. all serve as partners in this research.
Some of our achievements
Ramène ta science Science news on France Bleu Nord
Daniel Hennequin, CNRS researcher at the University of Lille, writes a weekly segment for France Bleu Nord about science and research as they relate to everyday life. These segments, each lasting 2 minutes 30 seconds, explain what’s going on in research in the Hauts-de-France region!
- Frequency: Every Sunday at 7:41 a.m. and 4:47 p.m.
Women from sub-Saharan migrant background Their involvement with associations in the Lille area
The aim of this research was to gain a better understanding, based on a survey of migrant women involved in the Lille metropolitan area, of the links between their experiences and their transition to the collective setting.
- Cooperation between the GRDR Nord-Pas de Calais association, Dietmar Loch, researcher at Clersé (CNRS laboratory/University of Lille) and Aurélie Girard, student at the University of Lille.

The video series ‘Les doc’teurs - une thèse, un docteur, un mini doc’ presents the scientific results of doctoral theses that have been defended at the University of Lille! Whether future students, teachers or people interested in these research topics, The ‘Les doc’teurs’ series allows these different groups of people to learn more about the world of research, and awakens their curiosity about scientific and technical issues.

XPérium Challenge Secondary school pupils and university students innovating together
The aim of this day is to get secondary school pupils and university students from the Hauts-de-France region, ‘innovating together’. Ten teams reflect on five topics throughout the XPérium series. Their challenge? To think of and design creative, innovative solutions for tomorrow or the longer term, and then pitch their project in public at the end of the day.
- Organisation: University of Lille, (in partnership with the education authority, the Hauts-de-France region, Enedis and the I-Site ULNE Foundation)
- Frequency: One challenge a year
