Adjustment to conditions of study for success on undergraduate programmes

Have you received a ‘Yes if’ response on Parcoursup? The university can help you make the most of your studies by offering adjustments to your conditions of study.

Adjustment to conditions of study for undergraduate programmes

In order to give the students who come to study here the best possible chance at success, the University of Lille has set up several schemes for obtaining adjustments to conditions of study for secondary school students who have received a conditional offer of admission to the 1st year of a licence programme (‘Yes if’).

Two types of adjustments to conditions of study

This scheme offers an additional year of refresher studies integrated into the course to enable the applicant to acquire the fundamentals of the subject, either because he/she has never studied it before (e.g. beginner in a language) or because the he/she needs to acquire a sufficient level to succeed in the course.

  • A comprehensive support system is in place during the 1st year of licence programmes: support workshops and refresher courses run by teaching staff, training in written expression and via a distance learning platform – the ‘Voltaire project’ – and 6 hours of tutoring per week provided by other students on the course) at times that are compatible with the student’s timetable.
  • The remedial programme helps students to acquire the disciplinary and methodological knowledge they need to succeed in their first year. This accounts for 3 to 5 additional hours per week, which are scheduled to suit the student’s timetable.

For these study adjustments to be of benefit to all, the students to whom they are offered must make use of these schemes.
