The university is a place to study, but also a place to live, to exchange ideas and to share experiences.
A rich and diverse network of associations
It will give you the opportunity to develop your sense of civic duty by getting involved in an association, taking part in various student life events or supporting the university’s many initiatives to help raise its profile.
Every year, just over 120 approved associations represent the university at local, national and regional level: culture, sport, humanitarian work, civic engagement, health, etc. So many areas in which to discover who you really are.
Help and support
The university encourages student and association initiatives, which can be financed by the Fonds de solidarité et de développement des initiatives étudiantes (Student Initiative Support and Development Fund; FSDIE).
Campus events
Campus life is punctuated by a wide range of events to enrich your student life and give you the opportunity to take a break and enjoy yourself during your academic year: Student life immersion days (Jivé), New Year’s Eve, Mix’Citéfestival, SummerBreak, sportingevents, culturalseason, sustainable development activities and more. There’s something for everyone!
A prevention policy for managing events
The University of Lille is very proud of its wealth of associations and is committed to providing them with the best possible tools, particularly those relating to prevention, to support the many association events. Training to combat the risks associated with alcohol and drugs, and to raise awareness of gender-based and sexual violence, is organised on a regular basis.
