Accessibility

The University of Lille places great importance on making its websites as accessible as possible. To this end, we are committed to complying as closely as possible with RGAA 4.1 (General Framework for Improving Accessibility) and have implemented a number of navigation and reading aids on our website (contrasting version, accessibility of menus using a keyboard, substitution font for people with dyslexia, etc.)

The University of Lille website is currently not compliant with the General Framework for Improving Accessibility for public services,RGAA version 4.1, as no audit results are currently available

  • The University of Lille website is currently undergoing an RGAA 4.1 audit. A declaration of compliance will then be posted on the website.
  • In the meantime, if you encounter any problems or have any questions, please contact Nicolas Lahoche, the Digital Accessibility Coordinator, at: ranuniv-lillefr
  • Concurrently with this audit, the University of Lille has been working with user groups since 2023, in particular with the Handifac student association, which has carried out usability tests on the University of Lille website and the Digital Workspace.(Windows / Firefox / NVDA and Android / TalkBack environment).
  • A working group (Digital Accessibility Steering Committee; COPILAN) has also been set up to coordinate compliance initiatives, technical training and awareness-raising initiatives on good editorial practices. Contact COPILAN: accessibiliteuniv-lillefr
  • A multi-year digital accessibility plan (schéma pluriannuel de l’accessibilité numérique; SPAN) is currently being drafted and will be published on the university website.

Aids

Style sheets for separating content from form

The use of style sheets ensures the separation of site layout and content. This maintains a coherent reading order in the structure of each page, enabling effective navigation if CSS is deactivated.

Navigation

  • Use the tab key to access each of the website’s links in turn.
  • If, despite our best efforts, you encounter any difficulties in browsing our site, please let us know by sending an e-mail to the following address: accessibiliteuniv-lillefr

Text size

The size of all text is based on the use of relative units, so it can be modified in most browsers. This operation can be performed using the following commands:

  • ‘CTRL’ and ‘mouse wheel’ keys

Or

  • ‘CTRL’ and ‘+’ keys (increase text size) or ‘-’ keys (decrease text size)

Or

  • Browser menus: Display > Text size

Menus

  • The main menu, located at the top of the page (MENU button), is permanently displayed on all pages of the site and allows you to access all sections. This site navigation menu can be accessed using your keyboard.
  • The logo on the left takes you back to the University of Lille home page
  • The site map at the top of each page allows you to access all sections and subsections of the website.

Colours

A high-contrast version of the site that meets RGAA colorimetric criteria is available.

Dyslexia

For people with dyslexia, we offer an alternative font to make the website easier to read.
A ‘Dyslexia’ link is permanently available at the top of every page.

Images and links

Images featuring information, graphics and links are explicitly named for a clear description of their content.

The University of Lille is a member of the University-Company Disability Agreement (Convention Handicap Université Entreprise; CHUE), which brings together 10 partner companies*.
