Request for an appeal or explanation following an admission application

You wish to lodge an administrative appeal or request an explanation in connection with an application for admission to the University of Lille.
Please find below the procedure that must be followed and the application form.

You wish to file an administrative appeal

If you wish to contest a refusal of admission to a course at the University of Lille, you can lodge an administrative appeal.
Your application has already been examined by a competent teaching committee. We advise you to formulate your administrative appeal, stating your reasons and adding any new and relevant information.

Within 2 months of the date of notification of rejection by completing the following form: FORM

The University has two months to respond from the date it receives your appeal. If you do not receive a reply within this timeframe, your appeal will be rejected (implicit rejection).

  • Getting in touch with other institutions likely to accept your application.
  • If you apply for the1st year of a Master’s programme and you are not admitted to any course, you can lodge a complaint with the local education authority (rectorat). Please carefully read over the procedure and submit your application on the national platform (opening on 15 July 2024).

You have 2 months to lodge an appeal with the Tribunal Administratif de Lille CS 62039, 5 rue Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire, 59000 Lille. Cases may be referred to the Lille Administrative Court via the ‘Télérecours citoyens’ computer application, which is available on the website: www.telerecours.fr

Would you like an explanation regarding your application for admission to a Master 1 course?

You can ask to be informed of the reasons why your application has been rejected on the Mon Master platform (French Education Code, article D612-36-2-2). Your request must be made within one month of being notified of the rejection. A request for an explanation should be made for each refusal of admission.
