Not all students are equal when it comes to digital technology. The university educates each and every one of them, and provides equipment to those who find it difficult to purchase themselves.
Free computer loans...

Aware of the difficulty students have in obtaining adequate digital equipment (computers, connection, etc.) to pursue their studies in good conditions, the University of Lille has been offering free laptop loans since 2019.
During the health crisis, the University of Lille also offered complementary services, such as digital vouchers and the free donation of desktop computers. These operations have been made possible thanks to the support of numerous partners, notably foundations and operators such as Emmaüs connect.
...to support digital autonomy
It’s also important to empower students and enable them to make the most of digital technologies. This is why the University of Lille is committed to:
- Training students in digital culture and skills;
- Supporting students to use the digital tools offered by the university, to help them save time by using digital technology and improve quality of life for everyone.
- Implementing the tools and training required for pedagogical transformation to improve student learning.
